1 - Join miller pta

Your membership enables Miller PTA to help support the students and school. We help provide educational experiences (e.g., In-house STEAM programs), fun activities (e.g., Fall & Spring Festivals, classroom parties) and help fund teacher wish lists.

Joining PTA does NOT mean you have to attend meetings or volunteer. However, your active involvement -  whether you are a parent, guardian, grandparent, or other family member - is greatly appreciated!

2 - become a watch dog dad

3 - have lunch with your student

Students enjoy having a special time with a family member. See MILLER BASICS for details of having lunch with your student as well as lunch times.

Grandparents, did you know there is a week in the Fall and a week in the Spring called Grandparent Week? During these weeks, you can come have lunch with your grandchild, go with them to the Book Fair, tour their classroom and get your picture taken with them. We hope to see you there!

4 - volunteer

Even 15 minutes every now and again helps! We have opportunities that are done at the school and opportunities you can do at home on your own time. Explore our Volunteer Opportunities or Volunteer Descriptions to find something that works for you!

5 - attend the classroom parties

There are three classroom parties during the school year: Winter Party in December, Friendship Party in February, and End-of-the-Year Party in May. Information will be communicated about the parties on this website, in eNews and on Facebook.

Want to be involved in helping with party preparation? Sign up on our Volunteer Opportunities page and the party coordinator will contact you with more information.

6 - take a leadership role

Interested in taking a more active role in Miller PTA? Consider learning more about Chairperson positions or the PTA Executive Board! Many of our Chairpersons and Executive Board members hold full or part time jobs and have multiple children. If you would like to learn more contact the Chairperson or Executive Board member for more details about the position and/or contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
